Minifesto
Invitations, April 2004
In my Minifesto, I address that science, math, engineering, and design should all be integrated. Designers can help give scientists new visual perspectives to their work, and scientists can give pragmatic perspectives to designers. In order for scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and designers to collaborate, I believed a social even would bring these communities together. Each invitation addresses a specific audience, but the Minifesto unites this community. Therefore these are invitations that highlight common terms, (i.e. form, dynamic, observation).
“DOWN WITH AMBIGUITY! UP WITH PRAGMATISM!
Every object and organism goes through a process in its life
If we can apply a design paradigm to this process
We would better understand that object or organism
Design should be systematic
Integrate logic and precision into design process
Incorporate a structure to observation and documentation
Design is a method to better understand process and find solutions”
